LinkedIn | Inside Out Partnership
LinkedIn believes that everyone deserves equal opportunity, whoever they are. But stigma stacks the odds against people with criminal records, with an estimated 8 in 10 ex-offenders unable to find work in the year after release.
To help make real change, LinkedIn partnered with Inside Out, a social enterprise creating the UK's first streetwear label designed by prison-leavers. The 4 week programme taught employability skills to prepare participants for work and culminated in a pop-up store hosted by LinkedIn called Blank Canvas. The participants were the face of the shop, while LinkedIn hosted workshops and mentoring for the Stratford community during the 10 days it was open.
The pop-up event was created by Louise Organ and Amy Taylor. I was responsible for documenting the programme with director Jonathan Stow.
